velacy Wonderful nordic songs, full of character and atmosphere. Feels very authentic and shows a softer and more playful side of parts of Heilung and other great artists collaborating on this project. Favorite track: Friar Fra Nord.

pslat7 All my life I have searched for music that moves me internally. The way these beautiful voices dance with and around eachother is enchanting. I found Heilung in a suggestion while listening to Sabina Zweiacker sing "The Dragonborn Comes" with the Swedish orchestra. From that point on I was mesmerized. Wonderfull work by beautiful people!! Favorite track: Friar Fra Nord.

Lute FP Fantastic. Apparently considered part of the “Viking scene” in Europe, it’s Nordic folk that is absolutely enchanting. A nice clear rhythm is the backbone of the music, and the meat is the lovely dual female vocals that chant as much as they sing. But never mind adjectives, you just have to hear it to understand the completeness of the sound they create.

Reminds me of DakhaBrakha (fav album: Yahudky) who fuse traditional slavic folk songs with modern production.

I just love the vocals.

Vinda 02:40
Føl vinden varme den stryker mot et slitent kinn La vindens salme få lindre ditt sinn English: Slowly the journey goes like the walk of an old man Seeking in the waves and seeking in the sand   The waves did not know, the sand did not see anything Slowly the journey goes when the hunger makes you full Hear the psalm of the wind, its being sung over the mountain And you, will you listen to this melody in the evening? Feet walks gently in treacherous field and meadow Sleep is scarce on a thorny bed Hear the psalm of the wind, its being sung over the mountain And you, will you listen to this melody in the evening? Hear the psalm of the wind, its being sung over the mountain And you, will you listen to this melody in the evening? Feel the warm of the wind its caressing a weary chin Allow the winds psalm to ease your mind

about

After we (Ingrid Galadriel, NO, Christopher Juul, DK, & Maria Franz NO) have been jamming and exchanging traditional tunes at historical events for many years, we felt the need to gather all our favourite songs and record them in Christopher Juuls Lava Studio in Copenhagen. Some are traditional, some are new compositions, the core is Nordic folk. Folk er godt, made by godt folk :-)
